we made it!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we made it safely and are currently chowing down at Sam’s in Tiburon! It was much smoother than we all had anticipated despite the hurricane(s?). There will be plenty of photos and more details coming by the end of the week!

I am definitely wobbly and held onto everything on my way to the table, and I personally have a huge sense of accomplishment from the passage! It was like a dream, so beautiful and so surreal, 18 days at sea and not a hitch in sight! Pure Bliss!!!

sail to sausalito

One of my neighbors invited me along to sail to Sausalito the last weekend in May.

We anchored out there, swam, ate, drank some beers, and had a great time. The weather was beautiful, company was great, and we saw all kinds of wildlife! I wasn’t able to snap a picture of the many dolphins, but they’re out there and I had no idea!

It was on this trip that I decided somehow, someway, I want to sail around the world.

solar eclipse sail!

It was May 20, 2012. There was a Solar Eclipse commencing. My neighbor, who has a Cal20 (a fast little boat), and I met at his boat and sailed almost to Angel Island just in time to see the eclipse (with quick glances). It was magical!
